Thank you for your interest in submitting your work to Dreamer! Here are a few more details on what we’re looking for and what to expect.
While Digital Dance Project is predominantly a virtual dance theater company, for this screening, we welcome voices from across disciplines, including music, dance, painting, visual art, poetry, spoken word, and beyond.
Who are we looking for? Everyone.
For our friends and colleagues in the black community, we invite you to share your stories. We want to create space for you to be heard in our arts communities and beyond. If you have a work that you would like to share, we want to amplify you and lift you up.
For our friends and colleagues in non-black, minority communities, we also invite you to share your experiences with us. In addition to creating space for the Black Lives Matter movement, we want to contribute to the larger conversation about race and immigration in this country.
For our white friends and colleagues, if you have a work that approaches the subjects of race and immigration from the perspective of a genuine ally, we would love to hear from you as well.
The deadline to apply is July 5th!
What can you expect from the program as an artist?
The deadline to apply is July 5th and we will finalize our programming and inform you of your submission status by July 10th. The final versions of accepted works must be turned in by July 17th to allow time to compile the program, which will be accessible online from July 24th-31st. As an artist, you will receive an invitation to attend one of the three watch parties free of charge, as well as free access to screening for the week.
If you have any questions about the project, please feel free to contact us here.
