Izzy Overstreet

Izzy was born in Los Angeles and began her dance training at age four. She received her primary training at Los Angeles Ballet Academy and Walnut Hill School for the Arts. She has also attended numerous summer intensives including Washington School of Ballet, Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Ballet Austin, Colorado Ballet, and American Ballet Theater.

In 2016, Isabelle graduated from Butler University with a BFA in Dance Performance and minor in Business Administration.

After her studies, Izzy joined Central Illinois Ballet, where she performed featured roles in The Nutcracker, Dracula, Romeo and Juliet, as well as originating the role of Bella in Beauty and the Beast. In 2017, she joined San Diego Ballet under the direction of Javier Velasco. Some of her performance highlights during her three seasons there included soloist roles in Javier Velasco’s Song of Songs, Que Bonito Amor, & First Time I Ever Saw Your Face as well as performing as a lead dancer in Matt Carney’s world premiere The Silent Town. In the summer season, she has appeared as a guest artist with Sierra Nevada Ballet performing in The Sleeping Beauty and A Midsummer Night’s Dream and ARC Dance; where she performed works by Mairka Brussel, Alex Ketley, Bruce McCormick, and Marie Chong. This year Izzy will join Ballet Fantastique as a soloist dancer for their 20/2021 season.
